Telstar 12 Satellite Launches with COM DEV Hardware On Board

The Telestar 12 Vantage satellite was successfully launched into geo orbit on November 24th. This broadcast and telecommunications satellite will replace the existing, smaller Telstar 12 at the same location. It will serve the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the South Atlantic Ocean Region.

COM DEV International's Products Division provided muxes, switches and microwave components for this mission.

Customer Hosts Thank You Event for COM DEV Team

A special event was held today by one our long-standing customers - to thank the COM DEV team for their MUOS, Arabsat and Hellas-Sat mission efforts.

Several hundred COM DEV employees gathered to hear the kind words of two customer representatives, who thanked them for their extraordinary efforts to meet the unique challenges of the MUOS program and for their technical support on the Arabsat-6A and Hellas-Sat-4 bids.

Arabsat-6B To Serve Arab Region's Communications Needs

The Arabsat-6B, launched on November 10th via Ariane 5 rocket from French Giuana, has COM DEV International hardware onboard! Our Products Division provided switches and microwave components for our customer, Thales-Alenia Space.

This satellite will deliver broadcast, broadband and telecommunications services for the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia.

COM DEV Announces Acquisition by Honeywell and Spinout of exactEarth

COM DEV International is pleased to announce a definitive arrangement agreement with a subsidiary of Honeywell International Inc. pursuant to which Honeywell will acquire the equipment business of COM DEV by way of an acquisition of all outstanding common shares of COM DEV for cash consideration of up to $5.45 per common share, representing an enterprise value of approximately $455 million. The exactEarth Ltd. data services business will be spun out as a publicly traded company.
